A warm welcome to you from everyone at Hanover House Dental Practice
It is over one hundred years since Hanover House, as a practice, opened its doors to help people with dental problems. Today, as a private practice we continue with the same traditions of enthusiasm and commitment to excellence as our predecessors and offer the broad spectrum of treatments that the twenty-first century expects. Our first class support team ensure that high standards are maintained, with patient’s needs our priority. Dentistry has become very sophisticated today, with major advances in treatment and technology. Today’s techniques and equipment take advantage of modern developments helping us to maintain our high standards.
For many of us a trip to the dentist can be quite a traumatic experience and we here at Hanover House fully appreciate patient fears and apprehensions and, therefore, try our best to keep stress levels to a minimum throughout your visit.
We offer Denplan, a dental payment plan or ‘pay as you go’ private dentistry to adults and children.DENTISTS

Dentistry. With special interests in implant dentistry and teeth whitening.
DR PIETER CLAASEN

DR SHEENA LALANI

Hygienists
Our dental hygienists will help you to achieve and maintain healthy teeth and gums by scaling and polishing them professionally and working with you to optimise your oral hygiene regime. Regular visits help you to take the best possible care of your gums to avoid problems caused by gum disease. Our hygienists will advise you on the best way to brush your teeth and on your oral health and diet.
Laboratory
We have two technicians on site enabling them to personally assess the work that needs to be undertaken to obtain a good fit and / or colour match. With the facility of a laboratory on site we offer a same day service, where possible, for denture repairs.
Intra-oral camera, Caesy DVD and Digital X-rays
Our intra-oral cameras, digital x-rays and Caesy dvds enable you to make an informed decision as to the future of your teeth. Caesy (Computerised Advanced Educational System), is a series of short presentations which patients can view on a flat screen monitor. Each presentation lasts a few minutes and explains what is involved in certain dental procedures.
Tooth Whitening
One of the first things you notce about people is their smile. When you meet someone with a bright, natural smile, it catches your attention. We can now enhance your smile by making your teeth lighter throgh the easy process of tooth whitening, without removing any of the natural tooth surface.
Mouthguards
These are protective mouthguards / gum shields for adults and children. If you or your child plays any kind of physical sport, there is a risk of dental damage. We custom make and personalise our mouthguards to your exact fit and we are able to offer a selection of colours and designs.

Denplan Care is the UK's leading preventive dental care program. With Denplan Care your monthly payments go into funding your regular appointments at your dental practice.
The fixed monthly sum helps you budget for regular, affordable, preventive dental care, without fear of costly and unexpected bills, including any treatment normally carried out in general dental practice. Laboratory fees, cosmetic dentistry and specialist referrals are the only aspects of your dental care not covered by this plan.
Denplan Essentials: This fixed monthly sum provides two exams and two hygienist visits per year along with dental accident and emergency cover. Any dental treatment required will be eligible for a 15% discount from the private fee list.
Denplan Care also includes an Insurance Policy for Accidents and Emergencies, with optional Implant Cover. If you suffer a dental accident or have an emergency outside normal surgery hours and cannot contact your dentist, Denplan Care or Essentials has a number you can call twenty-four hours a day from anywhere in the world and they ensure that help will be at hand.
A friendly greeting, with a calm and relaxing atmosphere awaits you on your first visit to our practice. After arranging your first appointment you will receive an information pack giving details of our fees and a map for directions to the surgery. You can also find these on this website. Included in this pack is a confidential medical questionnaire that we would ask you to bring, duly completed, to your appointment. Alternatively, this may be downloaded from this website.
At your first consultation you can expect to be with the dental team for up to 30 minutes, the fee for which will be £45.00. During this time you will be given a thorough oral examination for both signs of tooth decay and gum disease. Soft and hard tissues will be screened for any early signs of possible abnormalities, two bitewing X-rays will be taken and finally, an examination of your bite and jaw will also be made.
We will then proceed with a discussion of the findings and recommendations. To help with your understanding of the treatment options available to you, this will include viewing specific sites using an intra-oral camera and any relevant X-rays, leading to an informed decision on your dental care. A written estimate and treatment plan tailored to your individual requirements will then be given for your consideration. Further appointments, if necessary, can be arranged at your convenience.
Our patients are very important to us and you can be confident that we will always listen to your fears and anxieties and keep you fully informed as treatment progresses.
Please download the two parts of the Medical History form, complete and bring them with you when you first attend our practice.
Disabled Patients
Wheelchair access to our practice is offered via a ramp at the rear of our building. Regrettably, our toilet facilities are not able to provide access for wheelchairs. We do ask that you call in advance enabling us to provide any assistance needed.
