Make a dazzling impression with a gorgeous new smile

Porcelain Veneers can completely transform the appearance of your smile. A Veneer is an ultra thin layer of porcelain, custom created to fit perfectly over the affected tooth surface. Similar in concept to how a false finger nail fits over a nail – Veneers can do wonders for the aesthetic appearance of your smile while strengthening the underlying tooth structure.

Veneers have the ability to change the colour, shape and alignment of teeth on which they are placed. They help teeth to look natural and healthy and can be made to match the texture, translucency and shade of your natural teeth.

A Veneer can make a chipped tooth look intact again. Veneers can also be used to close small gaps, when orthodontics (braces) are not suitable. If one tooth is slightly out of position, a Veneer can sometimes be fitted to bring it into line with the others.

When considering this treatment, it is essential that the underlying teeth are strong and healthy. As the Veneer adheres straight to the tooth, treatment success depends upon its ability to adhere to the tooth surface.

The Veneer is held in place by a special strong bonding material and very little preparation of the tooth is necessary. A local anaesthetic (injection) may be used to make sure that there is no discomfort, but often this is not necessary. Once the tooth has been prepared, the Dentist will take an 'impression'. This will be given to the dental technician, along with any other information needed to make the perfect Veneer. The colour of the surrounding teeth is matched on a shade guide to make sure that the Veneer will look entirely natural.

The porcelain Veneers will then be custom made to your individual needs in our on-site laboratory. We use only the highest quality porcelain materials available to create a beautiful, natural looking enhancement for your smile.

Veneers should last for many years, but they can chip or break, just as your own teeth can. Your Dentist will tell you how long each individual Veneer should last and the best ways to maintain your Veneers in excellent condition.
